Luna wireless Why I Purchased Controller from Amazon
To be quite honest, I had no intention of purchasing this controller at first. Since I already had a DualShock 4 and an Xbox controller, I thought all controllers would work equally for PC and online gaming.
However, I noticed that my Bluetooth controllers’ response times were a little off one day while I was exploring with Amazon Luna. At that point, I learned that the Luna Controller makes use of Cloud Direct technology, which establishes a direct connection to Amazon’s servers and significantly lowers latency.
That one sentence sold me — and I’m glad it did.
Design and Construction Quality: Cozy Even During Extended Sessions

As soon as you hold the controller, it feels high-end.
This is what instantly caught my attention.
✔️ Soft-touch textured grip
Great for long gaming sessions. No sweaty slipping.
✔️ Balanced weight
Not too light, not too heavy. Just right.
✔️ Smooth analog sticks
Perfect for shooters, racing, and precision games.
✔️ Trigger responsiveness
Close to Xbox triggers — crisp and satisfying.
✔️ Buttons feel premium
Not mushy, not hard. Very well-balanced.
It is somewhat remarkable that there is no stick drift after four months of daily use, as my DualShock 4 experienced drift problems after only six months.

Experience with Setup: The Easiest Controller Configuration I’ve Ever Done
The Luna controller setup was simple, in contrast to other controllers that need pairing, delays, or frequent re-pairing.
✔ For Amazon Luna
You just:
- Install the Luna Controller app
- Turn on the controller
- It instantly connects via Cloud Direct
That’s it.
✔ For PC (Windows/Mac/Linux)
You can use:
- Bluetooth
- USB-C wired
- Cloud Direct (when using Luna)
Everything worked well when I tested it on Steam, Epic Games, and Game Pass PC.
✔ For Fire TV
This is where the controller truly shines.
The moment I turned on Fire TV, the Luna controller automatically connected. No settings. No pairing headaches.
✔ For Mobile (Android/iOS)
Great for playing games on the go. I personally used it while traveling, and the latency was almost nonexistent.

Results of the Latency Test: Superior to Bluetooth Controllers
I tested the controller using:
- Amazon Luna cloud gaming
- Steam Remote Play
- Local PC games
🟣 Cloud Direct = Virtually zero noticeable lag
This is the controller’s biggest selling point. Since it connects directly to Amazon servers instead of your device, the commands reach faster.
🟡 Bluetooth = Noticeable but acceptable lag
Good enough for casual gaming.
🔵 Wired USB-C = Perfect for competitive games
If you’re a competitive gamer, this is your best mode.

Battery Life: 12 to 15 Hours of Playtime
The battery’s performance pleasantly pleased me. Although Amazon states 12 hours, I was consistently receiving 14–15 hours.
Tips for longer battery life:
✔ Lower the controller LED brightness
✔ Use Cloud Direct instead of Bluetooth
✔ Turn off when not in use
One of the reasons I choose this controller over the Stadia or earlier Bluetooth controllers is the battery.
Compatibility: Suitable for Nearly Everything

Here’s what I personally tested
✔ Amazon Luna Cloud Gaming
Perfect. Extremely low latency.
✔ Windows PC
Works flawlessly through Steam, Epic, Amazon Luna, and Xbox Cloud.
✔ Mac
Zero issues.
✔ Android
Works with games like:
- Call of Duty Mobile
- Asphalt 9
- Fortnite
- Emulators
✔ iPhone/iPad
Works through Bluetooth and apps.
✔ Fire TV
Hands down the best controller for Fire TV.
This controller is among the most adaptable choices if you play on a variety of devices.
